This department is dedicated to developing a global multicultural catalog of sacred waters and other sacred earth sites with their associated stories and cultural signifiers.

Introduction survey courses provide highlighted cases and cover several cultures or regions as they create a context to understand what it means to say a site or water source is sacred to a culture.

Middle level courses provide a focus on particular cultures and their sacred contexts, or a regional focus showing the depth of multicultural associations.

Higher level courses should create protocols for defining new sacred earth sites and waters.
